This region is part of the broader Karelia area that spans across Finland and Russia and is renowned for its unspoiled natural beauty, abundant wildlife, and rich cultural heritage. Nearby, you’ll find protected old-growth forests, recreational woodlands, peatland conservation areas, and fishing and hunting grounds managed by the Finnish Forest Administration.
With access to hundreds of kilometers of marked nature trails and waterways, it’s a perfect destination for unlimited exploring and connecting with the beauty of unspoiled nature and wildlife.
Our property features a private nature trail, a small protected natural area, secluded campfire spots, and recreational areas. All are close to pristine lakes and wilderness rivers, with easy access to the area´s well-known hiking and paddling routes.
From our yard, you can access the local ski trail network maintained by the village association, and a sandy beach, also maintained by the village association, is located about two kilometers away.

Our Forest & Trail
Starting right from the yard, our nature trail leads you into our protected natural area. Meandering through a pristine boreal forest and a tranquil peat bog, the trail eventually skirts along a lakeshore, where you’ll discover a welcoming open fire pit, perfect for an invigorating pause. As you traverse, keep an eye out for diverse bird species, intriguing animal tracks, and the captivating flora thriving in our dear forest.
Accessible year-round, even during the polar nights, the trail offers enchanting views illuminated by the soft glow of moonlight or flickering torches. With a length ranging from 1.5 to 3.5 kilometers, tailor your journey to match your desires. Whether by foot, Nordic walking, snowshoes, or skis, the trail accommodates various modes of exploration.

Our forest camp
Our lakeside forest camp is accessible year-round. It features fireplaces, a dry toilette, a wooden shelter, and a rowing boat in a completely uninhabited place. The camp can be reached by walking, hiking, cycling, skiing, or snowshoeing starting from our main building.
